I'm glad i tried this. I really haven't looked at Google Scholar much. Here is a fun article I found: Open URL Style http://www.informaworld.com/openurl?genre=article&issn=0895-2841&volume=18&issue=3&spage=51
on the Red Hat Society - showing my age here.
the average student probably won't find this useful but the researcher might. Open URLs means one doesn't have to be dependent on an expensive or inaccessable database out there in the real world.

Wikipedia
Wikipedia may not be the most research oriented source but the info can be published quickly and that can be a good thing in this age of instant information. However, students do need to be aware of the limitations and problems and that is where we can help - showing them how to judge the validity of the information presented.
useful in the library workplace - I used to work on consortial and ALA committees where we would send long documents as email attachments. This would be so much quicker and easier to use and probably wouldn't run into the problems of incompatible email systems.

Delicious and tagging
I can see where this would be very useful in classes, you can create tagged lists of websites that would be useful to students using simple terms appropriate to the class as tags, even something as simple as the name of the class. I imported my bookmarks and tagged a couple. I'll have to do more of that later. My delicious account is delicious.com/MiatCat

6 adding to Firefox
I tried to add Bookburro plugin , I don't think I succeeded, will try again another time. I added the email plugin that seemed to have worked. I need to play around with Firefox more. I'm just so used to IE, I've got to get out of that habit. Firefox has some nice features, so I'll need to practice more.

Assignment 4
I can see using images to advertise a special program, highlight information from a general class such as the LSS workshops or even just fun photos from around the library.
